Quality Assurance Lead
A Quality Assurance Lead at Portent will be managing finding and reporting errors in web applications. They will test web applications for compatibility in multiple web browsers, usability issues, search engine friendliness and performance metrics. This is a techinical position that will require a demonstrable competence in web technologies, coding, and relational databases.
Responsibilities:
- Managing testing web applications in multiple browsers for css/html/server side code problems.
- Ensuring development changes meet the company standards with web marketing goals in mind.
- Management in CVS with the development lead.
- Excellent communication and writing skills necessary to document and describe issues in web applications.
- Superior multitasking skills to manage change requests for multiple clients.
- Ability to take a leadership role with both technical and non technical employees.
- A strong desire for being involved with building quality web systems in search engine marketing.
- Building effective relationships between development and production teams through communication, cooperation, and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Familiarity building web applications using server side languages (CFMX, PHP, .NET, or other).
- Strong interest and enthusiasm for testing web applications.
- Flexibility and adaptability, persistence and thoroughness.
- Must have minimum 4 years work experience with internet and web technologies, and ability to read/write code.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL,mysql) and ability to write SQL queries.
- Knowledge of search engine optimization and search engine marketing a strong plus.
- Previous leadership experience in a lead role a strong plus.
